Who we are:

3 Bags Full is a diverse team of New Zealanders with an audacious purpose; to create futures for our Māori and Pacific youth. We do this by drawing on our rich experience in the education and employment sectors, our Kaupapa, and our own cultural stories. Most of us have walked the same path our rangatahi are navigating today. Empathy and understanding shape the work that we do, with students, candidates and clients.

The 3 Bags Full Story.

3 Bags Full began
with 3 simple questions

  1. Why aren’t there more Māori and Pacific thriving in the digital and tech sectors?
  2. What if we challenged the traditional models of education and employment?
  3. How could we empower our youth to step onto career pathways that haven’t been open to them?

That was the start of our journey, to empower our young people with essential life and career skills. We introduced digital financial literacy programmes for rangatahi into schools in 2015 and developed learning pathways that support both students and their whānau, with the real-world experience of being able to earn as they learn.

We know that for many of our rangatahi money for their whanau often takes priority over education and career. So we created the opportunity for 3BF students to be paid while they learn through 3BF online apprenticeships and internships. With this programme they build digital, tech and life skills as stepping-stones from high school into further education and career pathways.

Our recruitment team place candidates into career opportunities, and we stay connected to them with support and guidance throughout their journey. This personal, cultural and professional mentoring is our korowai of support that is unique to 3Bags Full.
